I always find it interesting when these “Best” this, and “Most that” articles come out. I mean who is it who comes up with this stuff? One person’s best, or another person’s “most” could be totally different than another’s. I get that these are all just opinion blogs or “news” posts, but they always make me chuckle.

So for entertainment purposes, I will play along. In this case, WalletHub came out with their most “Livable” small cities list of 2021 across America, and of course, South Carolina has a few on the list and a few notable ones. Those metrics include affordability, economic health, education, quality of life, and safety.

Mount Pleasant SC ranked #9 as their most livable small city in the United States which is pretty impressive. Arguably the most desirable coastal suburb in the state of South Carolina, if not just the state entirely. WalletHub ranked Mt. Pleasant in the 91st percentile, based on their livability metrics listed above. So, the top 10 I think is pretty impressive.

Mount Pleasant SC is in Charleston county the largest metro area of South Carolina. It sits in the middle of almost any and everything fun about Charleston. It is 10 mins from Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Daniel Island, and downtown. Mount Pleasant has 6 golf courses, 4 of which are country clubs, all but one are public.

This coastal town is also home to Shem Creek, a well-known and beloved fun hot spot dotted with restaurants & bars where people meander back and forth from all of them enjoying the beautiful weather that is South Carolina almost year around.
