Del Webb Charleston SCDel Webb has two developments in the Charleston SC tri-county area, both are inDel Webb Cane Bay Summerville which is in Dorchester County, about 45 mins from the city of Charleston, and an hour from any of the beaches of Charleston. Del Webb Homes for sale is known obviously for marketing toward the niche population of 55+ & retirees. In Summerville, there is Del Webb at Nexton and Del Webb at Cane Bay Plantation. Known for their amazing amenities, these two Charleston SC area 55+ neighborhoods do have monthly HOA regime fees that pay for the following.

Cable TV; Club House; Dog Park; Exercise Area, guard Gate, Hot Tubs, Lawn Maint Included, a swimming Pool, Security at the guard gate, Tennis Court(s), Trash pickup, pickle ball, bocci ball courts, & Walk/Jog Trails.
The patio home market which is quite popular in South Carolina isn’t a huge draw in the Charleston area so Del Webb has come in and made the next best thing. The Myrtle Beach region has a lot of patio homes if you specifically want a patio home in SC but don’t necessarily have to be in Charleston.

Nexton Del Webb of Summerville is closest to “out of community” activities. Nexton has a shopping center with many different small businesses, restaurants, and shops. The HOA fees at Del Webb Nexton are $250 a month for all that Del Webb has to offer. The same floor plans will be at both communities 9 times out of 10, but the proximity to the Nexton shopping & dining center does mean the prices are a bit higher vs its counterpart neighborhood at Cane Bay Plantation. Nexton is a large mega PUD development when completed will host thousands of homes, schools, shopping centers, restaurants, parks, and more. Currently Nexton homes for sale range from smaller retirement-friendly homes to larger family homes, with just about every large national and regional home builder.

Del Webb at Cane Bay is more or less the same thing as their sister Nexton development but in the other large mega property of Cane Bay. Prices here are a little less because it’s a little further away from the schools and shopping hubs that Nexton has. The HOA monthly fees at Cane Bay Del Webb are $313 for the maintenance of the amenities owners enjoy at Del Webb 55+ communities. Homes for sale at Del Webb Cane Bay range from $400ks – $600s.

The Del Webb communities offer such a great lifestyle for owners in their “Golden” years with the best in fun social activities that keep you active like pickle ball, bocci ball, tennis, swimming, and social clubs.

There are other 55+ communities in the Charleston SC market if you do not want to be an hour away from the city or the beaches however keep in mind they won’t likely have the same level of enjoyable amenities in the community and the prices will be higher.
