MORE ABOUT THE TIMBERLAKE COUNTRY CLUB

The development consists of 321 home sites, and there are still many lots for sale in the community. The subdivision offers varying price points, home styles, and not all homes are located on the shores of Lake Murray. Some of Columbia’s most expensive and impressive luxury homes are obviously on the waterfront of the lake. The Children Living in this Community attend Chapin Elementary, Chapin Middle and Chapin High Schools. GOLF COURSE

A Willard C. Byrd designed 18 hole course at Timberlake measuring 6579 yards and over 5000 yards from the forward tees. Some holes are on Lake Murray with waterfront views. In 2012 Timberlake suffered a serious threat of closing if not for the members stepping in to help prop it up as the economic recession laid waste to hundreds of clubs around the United States. Instead of watching home values crash as the golf course is abandoned, nearby residents banded together to buy the course — even if it meant running it themselves as long as necessary. Luckily since the economy has rebounded the course has flourished and come back to its original glory. 

TENNIS COURTS
