MORE ABOUT THE COUNTRY CLUB OF CHARLESTON

In the early 1920s, the Country Club of Charleston expanded its offerings to include housing for members. The neighborhood that grew around the club became known as the Country Club Estates. The first homes in the community were built in the Georgian style and were designed by the renowned architect, Albert Simons. Today, the neighborhood boasts a variety of architectural styles, including Colonial Revival, Charleston Single, and Mediterranean Revival.

The Country Club of Charleston is a gated community that covers approximately 150 acres. The neighborhood is made up of approximately 200 homes, ranging in size from 1,500 to over 8,000 square feet. The homes are situated on spacious lots that range in size from 1/4 acre to over an acre. The homes in the Country Club of Charleston vary in style and architecture, offering residents a unique and diverse selection. Many of the homes have been updated and renovated to include modern amenities, while others have been preserved to maintain their historic charm. Prices for homes in the Country Club of Charleston vary widely depending on size, style, and location within the community.

The Country Club of Charleston is located on James Island, just a few minutes from downtown Charleston. James Island is known for its natural beauty and offers residents easy access to several of the area’s most beautiful beaches, including Folly Beach(the closest), Sullivan’s Island, and Isle of Palms

However, for those who can afford it, the Country Club of Charleston offers an unparalleled lifestyle. Residents enjoy access to the club’s many amenities, including a golf course, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. The neighborhood also offers a tight-knit community of like-minded individuals who value the finer things in life.
