“NoMO” as it is affectionately known is an up and coming area of downtown Charleston SC which stands for North of Morrison. Once considered a “dangerous” low-income area, now has seen a boom in the last 10 years with new development and investment in the area. 

 

Extending into the popular Wagener Terrace neighborhood “NoMo” offers convenience to some of downtown’s coolest new bars and restaurants. A favorite of Millenials NoMo started its growth when investors built the highly popular university apartment just off the bridge. As that went up other investors began to purchase land on the north side of what was once undesirable property, and new restaurants with up and coming chefs began to spring up. Now there are tons of awesome dining options, even more housing investment, bars, parks & more.
